In this paper, we ground the framework in empirical evidence and exemplify its usefulness. In particular, we systematically analyze three industrial case studies of organizations with cloned product lines and derive the set of basic operators comprising the framework. We discuss options for implementing the operators and benefits of the operator-based view.}, isbn = {978-1-4503-1968-3}, doi = {10.1145/2491627.2491644}, url = {http://dl.acm.org/citation.cfm?id=2491644}, author = {Julia Rubin and Krzysztof Czarnecki and Chechik, Marsha} }
